The movie Their Eyes Were Watching God provides insights about the ways in which the fate of African-American women had been in the hands of African-American males getting attracted to such women or not. The reason for attraction would mostly be the youth and the physical characteristics of such women. However, there had been very few African-American males who had interest to know the conditions of the hearts of African-American women. The aspect of stereotyping of males rejecting women had been evident in the novel.
